Hello classical music lovers:

I come from another forum which I've been slightly dissatisfied with (some may be members there too), and this seems like a nice community.  I hope to share my love for music and discover new things here in the days to come.

My favorite composers are Prokofiev, Ravel, Bach, Beethoven, but I enjoy countless other masters.  I play the piano, Sviatoslav Richter is obviously one of my biggest idols.

Cheers

Our forum member George is an amateur Richter expert of sorts; he seems to have nearly every recording the man made, and even got me to buy some. You'll get along swimmingly.  :D

Welcome to the forum, RexRichter! Hope you do enjoy your stay and our community.

A belated welcome, Rex, to the forum - from Australia!

I must say I too admire Richter - I've got an LP of him playing the Liszt concertos & it is superb playing. He had a great technique & was a great artist. Pity he didn't continue to do conducting alongside his solo work - that would have been even more interesting...
