One by one, they disappear without a trace.  Sounds like the plot of a Dan Brown model.  The idea that one of us could get a life is to absurd to contemplate, however.   ;D

Well, yes it is, actually... :)

I have had several email with Barak, the most recent about 3 weeks ago. He is OK, just very busy with family obligations that keep him tied up. I don't doubt that he will return one day when time is more at his disposal.

As for Sara, hard to imagine life without him. :-\

Sara was a man?

Ouch!  Check out those what do you look like threads, he has posted pics. :)

What a banal solution, end, to an intriguing mystery. I am so disappointed  ;D ;)

That would be awesome if Dan Brown novels ended the same way.

"However will we find this secretive illuminati origamization?"
"Oh wait, they have a website, an email address, they're on facebook and twitter."

;D

Wow, now I'm really ashamed. I always imagined Lethe as this really goofy girl in her late 20s.

Nah, don't feel bad about it. I didn't know she was a he either. With a username of Lethe (a goddess) and what I thought was a real name, Sara, the mistake was easy to make. By the way, I can't find any posts by him in the What Do You Look Like thread. Maybe he appeared in an earlier incarnation? In the old forum? Anyway, the gender does explain his obsession with Metal though. Not too many female headbangers  ;D

Glad I'm not the only one furiously combing through that thread. The only discoveries I'd made so far were Gurn on his tractor, and a photo of Sean standing in front of a tree with the genius caption, "I'm the one in the foreground." Was there another thread with pictures of forum members? I felt certain I posted one back in April, but it's not there, and the thread was only recently resurrected after two years' silence. There has to be a second thread...?

EDIT: Found thread #2

DavidW

There are two threads. ;D  His pic was like he was chilling in his room and it seemed like the color of the walls, the lighting, the chair and his wardrobe all matched.  He is short, thin, black hair likes to wear a blazer.

No wait that was Kullervo, dang I had that totally wrong didn't I! :D

ROFL, now that you put the name to it, I remember exactly that iconic picture of Kullervo/Corey.

Hey, looking through the second thread, I wonder what happened to aquariuswb. His girl was unfairly pretty.

Hi Dave! :D

Sara is indeed female, but she has never posted any images of her likeness and I find it unlikely that she would.

Well, was can only hope for Lethe's return when it will be resolved wither the poster is a man or "goofy girl."   >:(

Haha sorry for confusing you two! :D

Yes, I had much longer hair in that photo (baldness runs in my family, alas). Still can't smile for pictures, though. :D

Who ever said goofy was bad? I confess to that trait.

Former (?) member John of Scotland remains silent.

About a month ago I sent an airmail letter to him, but still received no reply.

I had been helping him (by translating German materials) with a script he was writing about Hans Rott, and suddenly he became silent.

I can't smile on demand either.  I can only smile naturally when I'm not thinking about it.
