When two such mighty brains reach the same conclusion simultaneously, can there be any doubt that Sheddistic Truth is manifest?

I think there is something minimalistic about a shed.  Otherwise we'll hear that Mit Romney is building a new Shed in La Jolla California, with 13 toilets, 6 Jacuzzis  and two car elevators.

My kids (ages 6 & 9) have been lobbying me for the past several days to put a shed in our back yard, so that they can live there -- the fatigue of continually putting up and taking down their variously constructed play tents and forts has become too wearisome for their tender constitutions.  And so I have pondered the merits of the shed.

And yet, I cannot help but feel that any shed I might acquire would be but a poor reflection of the celestial magnificence that is the One True Shed.  It seems an effort doomed to disappointment.  But, then again, it might be useful as a means to teach them the valuable lessons of the Ideal vs the Real.  Rather like Plato & the Cave, which is after all merely a neolithic precursor to the Shed.

But then, the kids are as yet more conversant with the ways of Pokemon than with the thoughts of Plato, and so perhaps it is a bit premature.  Methinks I should spend my dough on CDs, and let the children forage for their shelter in the cold, dark woods, as in the days of their forefathers.  Hardship builds character, a healthy appetite, and wholesome yearnings for the welcoming warmth of the Shed...
The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

The great men of Tain were a-buildin' their shed,
Hey-ho, drink the dram down,
Screwed and a-hammered, they went off to bed,
Hey-ho, drink the dram down.

And then in the mornin', they were so surprised,
Hey-ho, drink the dram down,
They grumbled and argued and philosophised,
Hey-ho, drink the dram down.

So what is the moral, Karl Henning, you ask?
Hey-ho, drink the dram down,
It's best in the shed if you've got a full flask,
Hey-ho, drink the dram down.

The shed is as heavy as lead

The shed is as heavy as lead
Suddenly, I see a light of red and now I'm dead

They say that brevity gets a poet ahead
But if that's true then I'll be dead
I ex-poetize with unstoppable tread
I rhyme all the time from breakfast to bed
My poetry's really bad, or so it's said
But they're just jealous of my cred
Up with this poem you're probably fed
That's assuming you haven't already fled
But hey, I can do this till I'm wed
Even while I'm eating bread
Or dangling by a poetical thread
That's the glory of Dave's ol' shed!
