I like -

extra sharp cheddar
gouda
provolone
havarti
swiss
rat cheese (that's what the old guy at the market called it)
and american (for sandwiches)

I do not enjoy any bleu, but my sons do.

What do you all like?

What do you all like?
Pretty much everything, particuarly French cheeses. I prefer lighter, creamer cheeses to smoked cheeses. Examples include Truffee, Edem, Havarti, Fol Epi, etc. I love it when they bring the cheese cart over, except I'd much prefer the chocolate. :)

Still, there are so many wonderful regional cheese in the world that can't be found far from where they are made!!

One of these is telemea.



I also like French cheese, especially varieties of Camembert, Brie and Bleu, and Italian such as gorgonzola and mozzarella.

Good strong cheddar without any appalingly sticky aftertaste.

Făgăraș is a town in the Brașov county. Yes, their cheese is also on the list of protected designation of Romanian origin, only not as "telemea de Făgăraș" but as "brânză de Făgăraș " ("brânză" means cheese).

Now the best way to eat it Romanian cheese is either with tomatoes and onions or with polenta and cream; in any case, țuica is de rigueur:)

Yes - it's different, perhaps an acquired taste. For those unfamiliar with it, it is a mix of cheese and sour cream.  But now I am getting hungary...

I like a lot of different kinds of cheese:

Havarti
Muenster
Gruyere
Monterey Jack
Colby Jack
Gouda
Baby Swiss
Butterkase
Provolone

I would definitely like to try more cheeses. I never have had any of the soft French cheeses like Brie or Camembert, although I tried Bleu cheese one time and the stinch of that cheese alone was enough make me nauseous. :)
