I am reading about the extraordinary trouble you are taking in making a permanency of Watkins' somewhat low-key performance of the Elgar 'Cello Concerto (some would be unkind and say "lacklustre").

To be honest, I wish I hadn't bothered. I just wanted to experiment with transferring content from my PVR and find out what it takes to convert said content. It's all far too long-winded, so I doubt I'll be doing it often.

Right now, I'm having lunch. Cheese roll. Dull.

What the heck is a cheese roll?

It's a bread roll, sliced in half lengthways, optionally buttered, containing one or more slices of cheese.

Ha! Sorry, I should've explained that. ;D

I'm drinking coffee.

I had to make two cups. The first I made had a winged ant floating at the top. When I pulled back the curtains in the living-room this morning, there were about fifty (not exaggerating) of the things on the inside of the window trying to get out. More were parading across the carpet from the fireplace.

I thought about my vegetarian principles for about eight seconds, then lit the fire  8).

Edit: OK - I've seen the picture. I know you feel strongly about people changing their avatars, but don't you think it would be a much better one for you?  :D

Just returned from my morning training run. Actually a nice morning here after two very wild weeks with storms and flooding.

Catching up on emails, GMG etc then I'll start colour correcting the images I sorted yesterday :)

Avoiding washing the dishes by sitting at the PC. :D

Listening online to extended (high-quality) samples from Chandos' Opera in English series. I've so far sampled Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen and Bartok's Duke Bluebeard's Castle.

Did you buy any more of those Mark? I recall you have Mozarts Magic Flute. I have that and Faust which is excellent, but learning them in English was fine untill I saw/heard them performed in German/French :o It kinda threw me a bit :(

Having said that I'm considering getting The Flying Dutchman as its still nice to just hear it in a language you understand; somehow its easier ;) :)

I won't give her the pleasure. I watch my P's & Q's now because I know she's watching me, waiting to pounce on any sexual misstep.
