I'm wondering if Harry dies...

Went to a midnight event....lots of fun.  They were serving versions of butterbeer, polyjuice, etc.  We were all sorted....I wound up in Hufflepuff.  My wife started the book at 1AM and will roar through it I am sure, then I will probably give it a crack in a few days.  However, with the Potter books I tend to stay up till 3 am reading and I am finished way sooner than I want to be.  Trying to savor this one a bit more.

I actually haven't read any of them since "The Goblet of Fire" - I started the one after that but got kind of bored. But all this media coverage makes my weak mind want to pick it up again, then read the rest.  ::)

Loved them all.  Thought the Chamber the cleverest, the Goblet the most entertaining, and Prisoner the most interesting.  How is that for not choosing a favorite!   :D

Hmm...so none of the ones I haven't read come into your favourites? I see...

BTW, I wonder if you also liked Lord of the Rings? Have you seen the little-known 1940 film version starring Bogey?

:)

Lord of the Rings is one of my favorites.  Have read it a number of times and hope to read it a number of more.  The Bogart piece, however, should never have been made!. ;D

Mark, some good friends of mine just had a home birth. It was their second child and the first child started out as a home birth but developed complications so they ended up in hospital.

They still wanted a home birth for the second child and all went well :) They used a birthing pool and the father stripped off and jumped in as well :o They had two mid-wifes present during the entire proceedure.

We visited the following morning and the mother was up and about perfectly well.

I held the 23 hour old baby for a while; it was very cute and amazing how they have long fingernails :D

The home birth idea seemed like a very good one to me; far more natural in your own enviroment.

They even took a video of the birth!

Keep us posted with your process :)

Solitary Wanderer

Lots of jobs around the house this Sunday.

My wife bought new curtains for the bedroom which we've put up. The curtain rail had to be lowered and the curtain tie thing needed to be replaced. They look good :)

Also finally put in our new letterbox ;D. It been sitting the the floor in the second office for...nearly 6 months. To my wifes credit she hasn't nagged me once about it ;) I got the old one out yesterday, no mean feat, and poured the concrete and installed the post. Today I've replaced the earth on top and attached the box itself to the post. It looks great! And it feels good to finally get that task completed :)

Haha! I had to watch that twice. Gotta love Orson Welles as some anonymous guy asking for the One Ring — and delicious bon mots like "I'll give you the ring... if you want it."

"....get out."

Yes, I rather like it too. I think Sam is my favourite  :).

Taking breaks from improvising on guitar over Mozart's k266 (a personal favorite). I often practice scales on my viola, cello, and guitar and go back and forth from there to GMG in order to give my hands a rest.

Heh, I was just practicing Donovan's "Catch the Wind" on guitar. Doesn't quite compare...  ;D
