As for your 29, the new clip sounds more "identifiable," but I have to conclude it's a piece I just don't know.
Okay, no one got it and I'm in tears (not really, but you get the idea).

Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Ah well. Don't cry. I thought Ligeti was a possibility (not lying here), but was thrown by your philosopher thing since I didn't know about Popper. And I have a CD, but haven't heard this one more than once or twice. (When you grow older, musical details tend not to stick in our mind as readily as in your youth.) The Ligeti works I know best are the piano concerto and piano etudes. But to celebrate, I will listen to your C+C on my way to the movies this afternoon to see Iolanta/Bluebeard from the Met.

Only 15 and 24 left. I guess I'll give 24 away with this clip:

15 is a French composer with a diverse cultural background. Not too well known, sadly.

Yes to both. 15 is Ohana's Livre des Prodiges (tr. "Book of Wonders").

I think that's all of them!

Thank goodness for that...

Seriously, nice quiz but perhaps a few too much out on the fringes of things for five seconds.

What else you got?
