"Se questo รจ un uomo" It is considered Primo Levi's masterpiece and one of the most important books on the Holocaust. I see that it has inspired some music compositions

The oratorio Shirat Hayam was composed and orchestrated by Yankela Rotner in 1992. and was produced on Israeli television in April 1994 on the beach in Netanya with the participation of 12 choirs and a youth orchestra

Yaakov (Yankele) Rotner, the ensemble's Conductor and Choir Master, was born in 1955 to a family of cantors, holocaust survivors. He is well known for over 30 years as one of the leading conductors, composers and arrangers in the world of Jewish Music.

Symphonic Addict

Due for release on September 20th:

Josef Tal: Exodus
Walter Kaufmann: Indian Symphony
Marcel Rubin: Symphony No. 4 'Dies irae'

IIRC, the Kaufmann was also released on a recent CPO recording.
Part of the tragedy of the Palestinians is that they have essentially no international support for a good reason: they've no wealth, they've no power, so they've no rights.

Harry Bialor was a composer and wrote operas as well.

Born in 1930 in Rutke, Poland, Harry lost his parents and three siblings in the Holocaust when he was only 12 years old. He survived for two years, along with his sister, in a bunker under the farmhouse of a Christian Polish woman who risked her life hiding them. Harry and his sister stole food and livestock for nourishment.
After World War II, he went to Munich conservatory for two years.
His sister Masha passed away in August 1996.
Unfortunately, Harry died from complications of COVID-19 on May 7th, 2020. He was a beloved husband, father grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who was beloved by many people.
