Not quite at the same bargain basement level as the Brahms cube was, but nevertheless still an incredible deal!  It is making me salivate!   :D

I have found pricing at the various etailers - US vs. European to be quite baffling.  For many box sets from UniversalMusic, the US based etailers (mostly the Amazon MarketPlace vendors) actually have better prices than MDT, Presto Classical or jpc.  MDT and Presto tend to have better prices on the smaller European labels.  At any rate, I tend to buy those hard-to-find recordings from the European etailers since prices for those recordings tend to be a whole lot higher stateside.

I might wait to see at what price fabulouscd will list the Tchaikovsky cube.

An in other news I'm enjoying the Sibelius orchestral works purchased on a recently posted deal.

If just somebody could provide a track list:

[asin]B005D51II0[/asin]

No info on any of the sites that lists this as a future release, and the label's own site, as usual, is totally devoid of useful information and filled with the usual crap and bullshit.

Renfield

Here's the tracklist.

Amazon UK lists it for a fairly decent £71.88, if the slightly-all-over-the-place contents appeal. :)

I should have suspected that prestoclassical would get it right. They are marvellous with early release information.

Indeed. Their attention to detail makes me vaguely sad I've never actually bought anything from them.

Deep discount in the US has it on sale for $125 or so. Don't know what shipping is abroad though (free in US).
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

So you are the proverbial "free rider"? One of my 4 go-tos (along with mdt, europadisc and amazon, all in the UK). Of course I use sites in Canada, US, the Czech republic, Russia, Germany, Italy, France and even Spain, but one of those 4 sites usually come up with the best combination of price, freight and availability.

I suppose I've never had occasion to use them. :D

My e-tailer - as Stuart would say - of choice is Amazon UK, inc. marketplace sellers, followed by Amazon DE and, less often, FR. For the now-rare (given my finances) bulk non-box-set order, I use MDT; I've also used JPC once or twice.

Oh, and Abeille Musique, that one time they had the epic box set sale. 250 CDs for €100! 8)

Since we're discussing them, though, what labels do Europadisc tend to have good prices on?

Much the same as mdt, but fewer. But they tend to be not in sync, so if I cannot find a label on offer at one of them; I sometimes find it on the other.

Hanssler Classics have released a box of Bach's sacred and secular cantatas - 71 discs for around $78 on Amazon.com - possibly cheaper elsewhere.

I have these in the bigger Hanssler Bach box - not my favourite choice, but a good price for a full set when you consider the prices for other sets, such as those by Harnoncourt, Koopman, the Gardiner discs and the (in progress) Suzuki edition.

Thumbs up!   :)  Where would I be without my coffee?  In big trouble, and in a very surly mood.  :D

How about "addiction" to wealth, fame, power, knowledge, sexual conquest and possession, flattery, and praise?

You're going to get none of that if you aren't wide awake and virile. :P
