My sister is having trouble and could use some positive vibes. She had a job in retail which overall she was enjoying, even if they were apt to give her longer hours than she might have preferred. She has not a new, but a newly diagnosed medical condition which made it imperative to cut her hours down. The upshot is that although it's too bad it played out in quite this way, she has had to leave the job. But there is now the difficulty of the lost income. If you're the praying sort, say a prayer for her.

I hope her health insurance was not job-linked--although COBRA and ACA should soften the impact.

This is not, I am guessing, serious, but there is so much virulent viral junk at large, I felt it prudent no longer to wait on the situation mending on its own: I've had a nuisance tickle in my throat for a couple of months now, and I've at last sought feedback from my PCP, so I've just had chest x-rays taken.

The result of the x-ray is now on the portal, and insofar as a layman can understand it, I think there are no anomalies.

As much as there is objectionable about Facebook these days (and presently my participation there is de minimis) I don't see myself exiting completely. For only one thing, Maria and Irina share their wonderful art there. And a lot of the people I stay in touch with on that platform seem unlikely to migrate elsewhere. To wit: my friend the superb clarinetist Todd Brunel just invited me toa concert he is taking part in at the Lily Pad in Cambridge this Saturday. Oh, will that be fun!

I've booked my trip thither, and Todd will give me a lift home afterwards.

And today, in PT Baby Steps: my therapist had my arm extended out and we worked on my hand gripping a ball way out there (as it still seems to my brain.) It was good work, but it took it out of me. I've just awakened from a heavy-duty nap, and I'm not sure I'm genuinely awake.

When we got out of the show (9:45-ish) there was as yet nary a snowflake. It started to fall as we drove north to Woburn, and was at it steadily into this morning. We must have five or six inches. Seems more in spots just because it's been blowing around.

Sorry to hear about the tiredness as an after-effect, but the best thing to read here is that it was 'good work'.
