I don't know why, but this type of music has been capturing my imagination for a few years now. It finds the perfect balance between classy deep sounds from the Classical music era and the energetic new digitalized music.

I personally have played around with some Neo Classical tracks and mixed them together into a set.

If you care to listen and give feedback, it will be sincerely appreciated.

Wow, another musical term co-opted to refer to something completely different from what it started out referring to.

Not one I woulda ever predicted, but then I wouldn't have predicted "electronic" or "experimental" being co-opted, either.

I'm just not good at predicting, maybe?

Anyway, what's next? Baroque? Chamber? What?

Well, you can still type in "acousmatic" at the youtube prompt and get things like Denis Smalley and Francis Dhomont. So maybe "acousmatic" will be the next.

Of course the OP belongs in another category, the 'Neoclassical' to which it refers being a genre of contemporary pop music.
There is nothing 'wrong' with the music, while there is just about everything wrong with the misappropriated name it was given.
(Who da culprit, huh? Huh?)

[Edit Add: Nonetheless, "Neoclassical" became a designated term for a somewhat wide array of contemporary popular music -- as divergent a range as from heavy metal to new-age -- sometime during the 1980's, so like it or not, both definitions still are around and in in use to confuse or befuddle fans of both the classical sort and the contemporary pop musics variety.]

If you are unfortunate enough to be an acousmatic, I believe their are inhalers made specifically to relieve the symptoms of that condition.
To get an inhaler requires a prescription, though, so ask your doctor.

I might have rushed naming the the thread, but honestly, i'm kind of lost in the music "genres" thing and i think classifying music is not that easy, given the amount cross genres collaborations in the digitalized music world.

I would rather categorize music into two genres; Rubbish Music and Good Music.

I was hoping that my mixset would be classified in the Good Music Genre  ;D

If there is another thread discussing this type of music, please point me to it.

I would also recommend Fabrizio Paterlini, this guy is a great pianist and recently he started infusing some beats to his work.

But, but.... I wear my mask every night. (And by "mask" I mean, of course, headphones.)

Musically it's a POS, but as comedy, it's pretty damn good!

I have to admit it made me chuckle... a little bit ... from the inside ... no sounds were made... a silent chuckle to be precise.

Monsieur Croche

This is probably more tangentially under the contemporary pop genre tag 'neoclassical' while I'm sure there are a number of labels it could get, depending upon what 'bin' it would be in in a store or online catalogue, but hey, I thought you might enjoy this extremely personal and highly idiosyncratic music.

Lest we forget there is some 'ambient' activity very much in the same arena of musical thought, but from the Non-Pop sector:

https://www.youtube.com/v/U__lpPDTUS4

... and the not so easy to define sector:
https://www.youtube.com/v/ggLTPyRXUKc

The best definition I've heard defining what is classical and what is not classical, and in pretty damned even and neutral terms?
"Pop and Non-Pop."
