I should visit Trader Joe's more often.  I have to watch it there though as I've been tempted in the past by their frozen packaged meals (which I normally avoid).

Love shopping at my local co-op:  sometimes they have good deals, but their regular prices can be quite high.  :(

TJs has apple flavored chicken wursts.

I used to get tamales from them but then I discovered a place in Texas that does a variety of super tamales. And that reminds me I need to order a batch. I put the enchilada sauce from TJs on them.

What is a super tamale?

It means both excellent and authentic in this context. These tamales are what you would get in a Mexican restaurant in Ft. Worth, Texas that has brightly colored paintings on the walls and serves tortillas with butter.  :)

I was just over at a website that I ran across called Delia's.  Looks like they have about seven restaurants now (all in Texas).  You have to order a minimum of 4 dozen.  The shipping was more than the order total...ouch!

I'll check out your vendor too...thanks!

Why are they using soybean flour (and oil) in a bunch of their recipes?

I'm ripping the DVD Henry VIII and His Six Wives from 1972. Keith Mitchell once again plays Henry, and Bernard Hepton returns as Cranmer. Suffolk is played by Brian Blessed, so there will be bellowing.

I'd like to celebrate that I just figured out how to click "new" on a thread's link so I could jump to the most recent post.

I've been going to the last page and just scrolling to find the new stuff.  :P

A friend and I had a nice chuckle when we were heading back to my house after doing some errands.  We saw a dog that went back out into a crosswalk (traffic was stopped).  It either picked up something that it had dropped or grabbed something out of the middle of the intersection.  It was on a walk with its owner.  When we turned the corner, we saw that the dog, a Lab, was holding a fairly big and very leafy tree branch.  It was happily wagging its tail while trotting along--evidently very pleased with what it had found and/or how well it had performed its job.  ;D

Take good care of that branch - they don't grow on trees ;) .

Had a tyre blow out on me this morning, first time in a long while.  Speeding merrily along the A20 in Kent when BANG - pulled over onto a forecourt, got out, had a look around, rear nearside tyre shredded.  Fortunately I keep a 2nd set of rims with winter tyres on them, which means (a) there's always a fullsize spare on board, and (b) I've become very practised at swapping wheels around - not quite F1 speed maybe, but generally about 10 minutes tops unless something goes horribly wrong. :)

That doesn't sound like a fun way to start your day!  And tires aren't exactly inexpensive either.  :(

p.s.  Watching some of the tennis from Wimbledon off and on.  Alas, it's another rainy day there so most of the play is suspended.    Thankfully, there are roofs on both Centre Court and Court No. 1.

I can't help but recall A Christmas Story.  The dad was so obsessed with quick tire changes that he would be timed!

Yesterday I had my rear car window retinted because it got all bubbly and I couldn't see out of it.  I didn't do it myself though, I just sat around reading Cato's book while the work was done. :D

Why would anyone have their car windows tinted?
