How are you liking it Karl?

I forget who recommended it here, but I was able to get a hold of a copy of The Thick of it and will start that soon.

It was Todd who recommended it! I was posting about watching clips from a movie that came after, and he directed me to the TV show.

I remember watching that show back in the day.  My father was a big fan of it--so much so that when we went on a trip to London, we went to see a play that Leo McKern was in.  :)

Watched the first episode of The Thick of It.  Very witty!

Also finally (really not even the shade of a good reason for my having dawdled) watching the second series of Fawlty Towers. Wodehousian genius!

A favorite of my mother's. We watched it many times! Great fun.

Season two of 12 Monkeys.

I'd heard that after the relatively conventional reboot of season one that the four seasons get progressively more trippy (no pun intended) and timey-wimey and unexpected. And there's certainly a lot of fresh ideas in 2 to have me now hooked.

Supposedly Madeline Stowe turns up for an episode in season two, but I haven't seen her yet.

I didn't watch this when it came out because it looked boring. How wrong I was. It did lose steam towards the end, however.

Quote from: hopefullytrusting on September 10, 2024, 10:39:02 AMJust arrived - very excited:

Is that for the series from the 70's or 80's?  Or a remake?

Quote from: hopefullytrusting on September 10, 2024, 02:33:31 PMI don't think it's a remake, not the show ran from 1999 to 2001.
You know what?  I was thinking of a different show from some time ago.  I believe that it was called Land of the Lost;D

You've got people like Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Paul Newman, etc. (plus your "average joes" -- working some unusual jobs).
