Strange. I have not been able to make these clips work on my PC. But now the clips (the buttons) have disappeared completely.

And even more strange: Now they are suddenly back in the way they should be.

Sounds like Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet... the next note is the real give-away though.

Although the first time I played it, the volume was set very low, leading me to guess 4'33".

A good guess, but not Romeo & Juliet! The next three notes are probably the give-away, when combined.

Hello everybody,
I came across a web link on this forum to a classical music trivia site a while ago. There were short clips on the web site to guess the era, composer, etc. I can't manage to find that web site now. Google was not helpful either. Does anyone know where that quiz link is? Thank you in advance.

Here is an easy one:

Quiz 6: [audio]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11004183/GMG%20quiz%20files/quiz06.mp3[/audio]

Sibelius - Violin Concerto - III Allegro, ma non tanto

And a more difficult one:

Quiz 7: [audio]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11004183/GMG%20quiz%20files/quiz07.mp3[/audio]

Smetana - String Quartet No. 1 - I Allegro vivo appassionato

I need to make them a bit more tricky, methinks.

Iconic moments from 2 great pieces .. can you guess what they are?

The first is from Stockhausen's Gruppen, the moment where the brass hurl chords over all the three orchestras. I am assuming the other is an electronic piece by Stockhausen, but can't place it exactly. It could be Oktophonie.

For me this feature keeps appearing, disappearing, re-appearing, disappearing. I wish I could figure out why...
