Hi all. I'm a research scientist from the NE of England. Just so you know where I'm coming from, I enjoy playing Classical Guitar (favorite pieces are Noctural after Dowland by Britten, La Catedral by Barrios [inevitably], and Cancion y Danza No.1 by Ruiz-Pipo) and favorite composers seem to change weekly but Bruckner and Debussy are always up there with Schubert, LVB, Shostakovich, Webern, Schoenberg, Bantock, Bax, and Nielsen among others constantly rummaging around in the background.

Favorites off the top of my head; Symphony-Bruckner 8, Chamber-Schubert String Quintet, Choral-Faure Requiem, Concerto-Shostakovich Violin 1, Opera-Peter Grimes.

Nice to meet you all.

Certainly a fine list of composers you have there.
In the middle of some Bax journey, ach, I well remember the first Chandos release on LP, and heard Tintagel for the first time.
What a world of beauty emerged.
Played that at least a dozen times when bought, in one go.
Welcome my dear fellow, and enjoy your stay here! :)
