Great photo - the crop works very well - that's some look!

Thank you. Her range of expression was extraordinary...the best, most natural model I ever worked with.

Really like the "Femme Fatale".  Terrific lines.  Rather disturbing though--due to the kind of hospital-style bed vibe.

Glad you like the photo. It's unfortunate, though, that it reminds you of a hospital bed. It's a brass headboard. Maybe seeing it whole will help banish the original association.

Love the black background. Also love the fact that you caught them before they fully blossomed. Almost alien looking.

Seeing it in colour helps, too - although I wouldn't say it's unfortunate, as that hospital bed look suits the mood of the photo, even if it is unintentional.
This latter one has definitely less the vibe of a picture of a female serial killer, though. I like how her leg and the blanket for a triangle.

I don't often see images of flowers at this stage. They look unusual to me and, yeah, almost other worldly. As a result I find them more interesting, more intriguing than many other photos of flowers. The black background enhances the effect.

OK, thanks for clarifying, I see what you mean. I agree that flowers are not too often photographed before (or after) they're in full flower, which is akin to not photographing children or elderly people.
I'm not sure I've ever taken a photograph of a flower before this March (the first of the ones below, they're in chronological order). Quite a few after that, though. :)

Fleurs, what a great series. I can't even pick a favorite, they're all so good.
